Have finally reached my goal of $1 a day after 4 months at the adsense game.

Am averaging about $2-3 a day at the mo, my next target is to average $5 a day over next month!

Ok how many sites do you have and whats the traffic like?

Just curious I have several sites, low paying keywords and until recently did not optimize G Adsense. I get a lot of type in traffic and fear Adsense linking to other sites to steal my hard earned traffic for pennies.

Im up to about 5.00-6.00 but its just traffic I need I know that.

I started a new site at the end of November 2006. I probably add 3 pages per week average, but I am focusing on unique information, photos and a quality user experience over short term efforts to make a fast buck from advertising on the site. My articles average around 1200 words each. I also write a monthly article for a magazine that is focused on the same topic as my site, so I have some amount of name recognition in that particular niche. It's something I am interested in and so I enjoy building the site. However, I have a family a regular full time job and other obligations, so I am not rushing things and if it takes me a couple years to really build the site to where I want it, no problem.

It took me to April to average $1 per day, June was my first $100+ month, currently running around $5 per day average. I hope to reach $10/day average by the end of this year. I think its a reasonable goal for a new site.

Its about bringing in lots of traffic, but I want to have a high quality site to provide the info readers are looking for.

Congrats, adze. You'll get that $5 per day. :)

Reno_Chris has it right. Go for the long term approach and keep on building up your site and visitors and your Adsense earnings should keep rising.

Don't be surprised or disheartened if you reach a plateau every now and then, when your earnings just don't seem to go up no matter what you do. One day they will, and you'll be on the way to the next target.

Reno...

I just wanted to comment that this is the way to go. Your story is VERY similar to mine. I kept adding content to a site that I loved. It wasn't about making a ton of money quickly it was about making a site that would have some legs and become a resource for visitors.

In my mind it's a success. It took awhile to become a source of income. A rough estimate is 3 years...if not a little longer. But, today it's a nice boost to my income. It gives me a little financial freedom I didn't have before, and I still love working on the site.

As a matter of fact next weekend I'm off to buy a car from the income generated by the site. Okay, it's a Yaris, but still, I'm buying the car... no payments...just writing the check and driving it off the lot.

adze...you're on the right path. Keep at it. Slow and steady is the way to win this race.

Congrats adze. Remember those milestones well myself. Just keep plodding away and enjoy the ride.

Don't forget to try something new now and then and experiment. A tweak here and there sometimes makes a huge difference.
