Google link missing from racist adverts

I have just found a strange sitation over the last week on 2 websites. There is a partically repellent hate advert from one site showing on both sites, but the usual "Ads by google" is missing from the page.

Therefore you can't complain to google about the advert.

I have never seen that before where the "ads by google" is not showing. I don't think the websites hosting the adverts have managed to block the text, because they are quite respectable. It must be something the advertiser can do.

Unless it's a Flash ad, you can get the ad code by right clicking the ad and clicking on Properties. You can copy and paste that ad code into an email to [e-mail].

I just read somewhere this morning (in one of the seo blogs I follow) that more and more "ads by Google" lines are being left off of ads. Was this an image ad or a text ad?

Is it possible these are non-AdSense ads made to look like AdSense?

Do you mind being more specific about the content of the ad? The word "hate" gets gets thrown around casually these days - is it possible the hatefulness of the ad is subjective?

From their site in a plea for advertising they note that they have been banned from Yahoo/Overture, Amazon and many other sites.

yet adwords don't seem too worried about them
