Low volume traffic.

Tried and failed in this area, but very successful in other programs.

Is anyone out there making any kind of money from a low volume traffic site. If there is, your content must be about something where the bidding is top dollar. Like webhosting, where the max bids are usually over $5-$10. How can anyone possibly make any money from a website where the content only pays out $0.03 per click? IMHO you would have to mix a blend of uninteresting content with an interesting theme. That way the user would be interested in clicking on the content, however when they get there, the only thing intersting would be the AdSense ads. Maybe someone could clear up my misunderstanding of this AdSense program's concept.

Some people aren't looking to make a full-time income from AdSense. Some are just happy to finally have something to cover the monthly hosting bill on a "labor of love" type of hobby site.

That said, I don't think there are that many publishers who earn .03 across the board. Yes, most will have a .03 click show up, but it is usually not the standard.

Actually, when I started using Adsense I would get, by day, only 1 click with a kind-of low earning per click.

What I've done was optimizing the page were I was showing Adsense and add more targeted keywords. Something like this:

This was not that good. Not everyone is giving ads to new blue widgets, 'cause only red and green exist. So, I have to get some keywords that will triger some ads related with my site.

So, now I have something that will make Adsense display ads that will pay a little more.

I've done this, it worked for me. I've went from 0 to 3 clicks a day to 6 to 15 clicks a day. It's still very low at a few cents per click, but it's better than nothing!
