Congratulations!

First, can you give some of that back to me? I was wondering where my earnings were going!

Second, care to share with us what some of you've learnt? In my experience you can try fifty things which increase your earning by 50% in total, and then you try one thing which will do 50% on its own...

Thanks!

I usually come here to get suggestion on how to make $100, and now I'm giving advices on how to get to $100?

What to do:

-Like every one already said: Content, content content. Just links and forums really don't work. 3% of what I make comes from the forums and I have over 12K members the rest is from the content pages. Look what happened with technorati: [forbes.com...]

- Used right side banners ads and limit the pages to no more than 3 ads.

That's all I got. I hope that helps.

5 with AS

Did you start AdSense a year before us? AFAIK AdSense started in June 2003.
I jumped in in July 2003 and I have still not made my first $100 day. In fact this year my earnings are down by 25% and that's not accounting for the drop in $ value.

OK 3 years 11 months and 15 days. It seems like I had it forever.

Content, content content.

Also traffic traffic traffic. I'm in my third year now, and just had my first $100 day - which was then followed two days later by my first $200 day, and the next day was my first $294 day. I had the content all along - it was the traffic did the trick.

Oh the traffic! If I could generate some more of that, I could reach $500/day!

3 ads or 3 ad displays?

If there is one thing I have found to be beneficial as a general rule (variables notwithstanding) is that "less is more."

Reduce a page with 3 displays to a page with 2 displays and income on the page tends to increase even with the same traffic volume - at least that's my experience.

Cool. That has been my target for 3 years or so. Have gone over a few times - what a tease, but I'm pretty much $50-$75 a day, which for my traffic is very good. Actually at $80 or so today, which got me thinking about $100 again and checked here. I am locked into getting and staying over $100 by the end of the year. I'm typing like a mad-man this week.

Adsense is not my main thing, but $3000 a month would be nice extra change.

Now $500 a day equals....better not think about it.

Of course traffic = more money!

If people need to be told that they are in the wrong business.
