i would like to creat a subpage with js , so when people click into the link on the home page, they open the sub page into a resized window (smaller, like a pop up, but the window does not pop up by itself, the user has to click the link into the home page).

Is it possible? Is it against Google Adsense Tos?

thanks :)

Almost certainly against the TOS

Plus it won't work

If Adsense opens in its own window, there'll be no content to give context to contextual ads ... you'll have a blank window. or a public service announcement.

If you don't want Adsense, best thing is not sign up for it ;)

And if you do want it, probably best to use it as suggested for best results.

Maybe i was not able to explain my purpose ; i'm planning to have a website (www.example.com) with X subpages ; i want my subpage(www.example.com/subpage.html to be opened into a resized window ; insite the resized window, i want to display adsense box within my website content.

The window is not a popup, because the user has to click the link into the homepage, to access the subpage . May i do this?

no. if you'd not open a regular new browser window.

The window is not a popup, because the user has to click the link into the homepage, to access the subpage.

really no popup? how does the "new opened resized window" look like?
a popup is not defined by how it is opened. it pops up by itself or through a click.

It really depends on the implementation. I can imagine this being done for completely legitimate purposes. I can also imagine it being done as a poorly-disguised way to prevent users from clicking away from your site.

BTW, I hate sites that do this. Legitimate or not, it's annoying and always unnecessary and asinine. But as for whether it's okay for AdSense, the only way to know is make a functioning mockup and show it to Google.

I've seen sites that do this, where they want to have the target window open to a particular size to fit say... a detailed description and larger image for a product... but where they want the page indexed.

AN onload resize placed on a normal webpage allows the page to be indexed, where javascript popup, is generally not.
