Among the many sites I have running AdSense, I have a newish one where I just got 14 clicks out of 15 impressions for approx. $11.00. I know Google doesn't want us emailing about this stuff any more. Should I be worried at all?

Sometimes the impressions and clicks are not entirely in sync. I've noticed stuff like that before too. If it keeps happening, I'd start looking at my log files.

I did look at my log files and saw nothing of concern. I guess there are dumps from time to time, but that's only a guess. I've heard the term "click dump".

I dunno - I had one site where it seemed like 7 clicks came off 8 impressions, on a site I hadn't quite finished, so there was virtually no regular traffic yet, and the only visitors in the log were from China at 3 in the morning. Didn't seem like that could be right, but I immediately emailed AdSense and they said they didn't see a problem. All I can do is shrug.

That's pretty common on sites with low traffic. I had a channel that had a 300% CTR for most of a day (3 impressions, 9 clicks)

I wouldn't worry about it at that traffic level. I'd be a lot more worried if it was 280 clicks on 300 impressions.

I heard recently from a guy who designs a slew of AdSense loaded sites for 800 x 600 resolution because lots of Chinese still use it, and are great AdSense clickers.

with low traffic, you'll see these odd cases all the time. If you have low traffic because you just joined adsense, never click on your own ads.

edit: SCREEN RESOLUTION:

on my site, only 10.60% is 800x600... but I still design for no more than 750 width. Also, i hate 100% width and always keep my fixed. 100%, IMHO, should only be used on e-comm sites.

My lord do I want 80 cent clicks....

If only I got half of that, or even a quarter,...... :D

If your content attracts them, and your traffic converts them, then you'll get them. I get a lot of $1+ clicks - and that's on an event site.

It depends a lot, as well, on the niche.

I get a couple pages that get the $1+ clicks, but I make a LOT more of my money from the traffic that pays under 20 cents per click.

I always have to laugh when someone is looking for high paying keywords. My highest paying keywords are my lowest paying keywords. 30 clicks at 15 cents is a lot more money than 1 click at $1.60. In fact, I make more money on clicks worth less than 5 cents than I do on all the 50+ cent clicks.

That's pretty common on sites with low traffic. I had a channel that had a 300% CTR for most of a day (3 impressions, 9 clicks)

Just to put a fine point on this, the site's very new and traffic is miniscule - looks like a little over 1,000 uniques by the end of this month. Still in the "nonexistent" sandbox.
