Hi All,

I have 2 separate domains and both are showing the same Google ads. One is for compensation and other for real estate, but both sites have the ads from real estate.

How can this be possible?

The ads target the user sometimes, as much as the content. If you hit real estate sites often, Google may just serve up those ads in an effort to appeal to you more.

Metaphorically

I've had this happen across my sites as well. I have several sites with different, completely unrelated topics. Site A can show the same ads as Site B. When I go to another site that I don't run I get different ads.

I have seen the user-targeting thing as well, where every site I go to for a day (including my own) seems to be running the same ads for the same company. The publisher-id-based targeting is different. It seems that Adsense is trying to run the highest paying ad for that pub-id rather than the one that's contextually relevant.

By-the-by, I blocked the company that was running user-targeted ads on my site. I want contextual ads for my users - not just to blast whatever the advertisers want.
