AdSense inside iframe?

Can you run AdSense ads inside an inline frame

I wanted to run AdSense ads inside an inline frame (iframe) but when I tried it, nothing appeared. The frame is there, but it's just blank.

It appears that the AdSense code doesn't work inside the <iframe>Adsense Code</iframe> tags.

Am I missing something, is there a way around this?

I'm sure I could come up with some other way to position the ads, but iframes is certainly the easiest way. BTW the iframe was large enough to hold the ads!

I used to run adsense code using an ad rotator that used Iframes so it is possible.

Hi, yes it certainly does work. On the page to make your AdSense code, have you checked the "will be placed on a page with frames" tickbox?

Though it doesn't actually make any difference as to whether it works when the AdSense code is in the Iframe as opposed to the content.

Yes, I tried it with both the "no frames" and "frames options", just in case there was something non-obvious involved - but it made no difference. All I got was a blank iframe of the specified size (which was larger than the AdSense ad).

I've used an alternate system to place the ads now, so it's no big deal, I was just surprised it didn't work.
