What percent of content versus affiliate pages is a safe amount

How many pages of mostly affiliate products do you think is safe add to a unique content site that runs Adsense ads? I know Google doesn't like pure affiliate sites, but if you have a site with lots of unique content, I would think some percent of related affiliate product pages would be okay. I'm just not sure what is a safe percent.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I don't think anybody could give you a "safe %" number except google.

Even then, I don't think they would be able to give you a hard number.

It's more likely a "sniff test" as I've heard others call it.

If they ever have to review your page, it would probably be up to the employee that's viewing it to determine if it's more affiliate stuff than original content.
