Hi,

A nice catchy logo on the index page.
An Adsense for search input form just below the logo.
And that's it!

Is this really allowed?

Thanks

No.

From Google Adsense:

Each Web page(s) that contains a Search Box must also contain other content related to Your Site.

Thanks Celgin,

The reason I am asking this is that I have purchase some DNS yesterday and I want to try to create minisites (instead of parking them which pay peanuts)...

But content writing is not my best skill.
What about using open-source content like wiki?

If you look at other threads in this forum, it seems as if AdSense is taking actions against sites that provide a poor user experience in one way or another.

What you describe above sounds a lot like the "I want to make money with AdSense but don't have anything original to say" business model. Right now might not be a good time to invest much time and energy into that business model.

You are definitely playing with fire if you do this. "Wiki" content will likely show up as duplicate content and you probably can't post enough of it to pass a "quality user experience" test.

Plus, it sounds like you plan to have only one page of this "wiki" material and that is grounds for TOS violations.

If content writing isnt a skill you have you are in the wrong business.

Thats what adsense is for.

Its not some sort of get rich quick scheme (lots try! For a while) but an advertising system that matches ads to content!

This forum is full of what is happening to MFA sites like you are planning. Wake up and smell the coffee.

Thanks for your response...
I was aware of all this. From the recent "June's Google action" to duplicate content issues, hhmmm...
Well, then it's time for me to think about content and SEO.
Right now might not be a good time to invest much time and energy into that business model.
It's seems you are right, I came too late into the Adsense programme. I'll just play it safe ;)

Thank you.

tomda,

there's hope!

I have seen soooo many sites with extremely thin content (less than the height of a silicon waver) that you should do fine if you create your own content. Right now it seems that Google still accepts anyone who can write an English sentence or two. You have already proven that you can even express yourself, so go ahead and write what you are thinking. Also, I might add that it's a good feeling to write. It can be a lot of fun.

Just do not use other people's content (e.g. Wikipedia, Google News, Flickr) to write your articles. This will get your account banned, sooner or later.
