OK, I had no sites two weeks ago, now I have three blogs on own server and one blog on blogger.com. My earnings were $0, now they are $50 a day.
How the money is made? Adsense for search (25%) and adsense for content (75%). Ads are above and below the content. The content is different :) I think that most users click my ads after reading the text or after viewing the pictures. I have 47 posts and about 3500-4000 uniques per day. (40% - Google and Yahoo, 50% - blogs, 10% - social networks and others)
My strategy for blog creating:
- I search for niche which is free. (Actually, I found all the niches when I was looking for something on Internet. If nothing is written, you can write it yourself)
- Then I search for additional information and keywords.
- After that I create a blog and make a first introductional post.
- I make one-three posts everyday (all posts are full of information)
- I submit interesting posts to social networks such as Digg.
- I ask other bloggers not to steal my content but just to put a link to me (and it works :) )
That is all, no secrets at all.

Wow. In two weeks from zero to fifty? Dude, that's great news.
Two questions remain, though:
1) Do you actually know what you are writing about, or are you just researching and then, er, paraphrasing/summarizing your findings? (I think I know the answer to this one.)
2) Is your success sustainable? (I guess it's not. How long until you complain about being smart-priced?)
I did in the 90s and never updated anything much since. I added adsense in 2003 and have been getting 5 to 7k visitors daily ever since. And 3 to 4k a month dollars.
I am still not tempted to add to my pages until I have more "stuff" of value to add.
GOOD content gets traffic. Everything else is "me too" and doesent.
So maybe he is an honest publisher with something to give and gets traffic/links because of it. I dont see it as unusual at all because I know how to do the same.
Google (and advertisers as well as users) want quality, NOT quantity!
Of course he could be talking complete b*&%$*%s but dont be so sure.

zett, I am writing about:
1) Telecommunications - I am an engineer. There is one post that gives me $5-10 a day, it is about cable systems and their analysis. Some huge sites are linking to it, so my blog is the first in Google and Yahoo for good keywords, it also gets traffic from these huge sites.
2) Electronics - mp3, videocameras etc. Reviews and other interesting stuff. Other blogger link to me, I was commenting their posts for some time and now they all put a link to my blog on their main page.
3) About car - this is the main money earning blog ($20-30 per day). I write there not about new cars, but about repair, insurance and driving.
4) Blog about how to earn on adsense and blog - gives $5 per day
Hobbs,
I have 1600 uniques per day, because I am the first for some keywords. Many people told me that I will get sandboxed soon.
nomis,
I just wanted to tell newbies that they also can earn money. I really did not think that I will get $50 a day.
callivert,
I was a good commentator. So some bloggers are my friends, that is why I got many links to my blogs.
RonS,
I hope to write "I am now at $300 a day, and you're all idiots!" some time =) But for now I think that $50 is a limit, traffic is growing slowly.
So some bloggers are my friends
A-ha. Now, this might get you into trouble.
If the bloggers are your friends and probably link to you, then they might also click the ads, just for being friends. Or Google will just apply SmartPricing for your the non-converting traffic your friends send.
But anyway, good luck on your money quest to $300 a day.
BTW, you can edit your own posts by using the "Owner Edit" button next to the post.
you definitely should have not disclosed in that much detail your niches, I hope you will not regret it later
well done and good luck
People,
be nice and give new posters the benefit of the doubt
no, that's how the best links are made, friendship, relations, trust .. and you're throwing in click fraud?
In general, I agree with you.
I am just wondering at the speed of the success described here. This kind of success has been unheard of before, as there are sooo many looking for these kinds of traffic, links, and revenues, 24 hours a day around the world. Yet, one man seems to have done it all in surprisingly short time. And he is willing to share his secrets with us. Which is great.
Thanks for that, honestly, and I will applaud loudly, in utter amazement, when the OP will report here about the sustainability of his success by the end of the year.
At the same rate by the time his eCPM drops to 4, his traffic would have tripled and compensated, drawing on known AdSense optimization tips here and elsewhere he can sustain and boost his earnings.
There is no reason to forecast doom, call it a success story till it proves otherwise, how many of those do we see here compared to the doom and gloom I've been banned and you all will be too posts?
yes, you are so right - it is a success story, and we should call it that way. I really wish the OP all the best. Personally, I just hope that he does not get too overwhelmed and does something not so smart (like quiting his day job). I feel he is lucky when he can even hold his $50 a day.
You see, out of curiosity I just had a look at some of the sites on Blogger that use Adsense. Man, there is some serious cr*p out there, covering all topics under the sun, articles with excessive keyword stuffing, stolen or useless articles, plugged into god knows how many blog communities there are. It's strange that Google allows all that.
That's why I think it is even better to see that the OP is (obviously) much more serious about this. Looking up niche topics and filling them with unique fresh content based on experience and knowledge, that is a pretty smart move. This has a chance to survive. And this success story hopefully acts as inspiration for other soon-to-be Bloggers!
Oh, how I wished that there would be more of such sites!
