What's the point of my choosing which refferal ads will display on my site when Google goes and places ads from every category under the sun in the referral units that I have chosen?

I asked Google that question and I got a canned response saying that their algorithms will decide what ads should be shown on my site and that it will take time for relevant ads to appear. The site in question has had Adsense on it for over a year... It sure seemed to me that they sent me a canned Adsense response that had nothing what-so-ever to do with referrals units.

It's not like they make it easy to pick and choose refferal units with all the back and forth you have to do. Then to see that the ads which I chose barely being displayed? Just weird...

Actually you can select up to 15 different ads for a single line of code if you want. It doesnt take long to go through the campaigns, I can look through them all in less then 30 minutes with the new clean backend they introduced the other day.

We are having very good success with the program since they gave us a option to just choose which campaigns we want to show. I cant wait until this goes live, ASA if you are listening please please let this baby go live so we can get some more campaigns!

So if you clear the checkbox "Pick best performing ads", Google still picks the ads for you?

When I clear this checkbox, only the ad I chose is shown.

I've experienced a similar problem where I selected one specific ad only and a different ad was displayed.
