"According to our programme policies, MIVA ads may not be displayed on the

those ads on pages of your site that do not include Google ads.
In general, AdSense programme policy does not permit Google ads to be
published on the same page as other contextually targeted ads. You can

I read their policies and it states that as long as the ads do not mimic google adsense, it should be ok?
Also, I found another site that has inline ads alongside google on the same page, of course, this site has been around for much longer and is BIG.
Is there some favouritism involved? I don't feel this is fair. The other site which I haven't mentioned has had the intellitxt inline ads there for about 1+ year now.

Large sites can make their own arrangements with Google. They used to be called premium publishers and you could apply if you over 20 million page views per month. I don't know what the current situation is.
So yes, you can call it favouritism. Makes sense to me though.
Having said that I know someone who makes more money with inline ads. I suggest you try out both one by one and keep the more profitable service
