adsense paying less or I am earning less?

I am receiving more then 6000 clicks from adsense a day for all my sites but earnings are on average 800 to 1200 US$ a day not crossing this limit

Is it fine or some problems out there?

My CPM is 7 - 9 average.
CTR is 4.5 - 5.5 AVERAGE

getting more then 1 lakh unique page impressions a day.

I suggest to quit whining.

At $800 - $1200 PER DAY you should consider yourself lucky, especially when considering an average EPC of approx. $0.15 (on 6000 clicks).

Actually for a small site like mine it would be, but at 6000 clicks I would quite happily accept an $0.15 EPC.

This thread has started me thinking that I should be using Adwords, it clearly works.

Or maybe AdSense is paying more and I'm earning more.

AdSense is an auction-based system, and both prices and earnings are subject to ups and downs.

I have very unique content on my site and keep track of content theft (have some services for this).

We used to get around 500-700 clicks few months back and earned an average of 300 - 400 US$
Earnings started deteriorating until we added last heavy traffic content site.

what kind of site - forum or news? Forum generally generates less income due to more return visitors; other factors like duplicate content can harm you
