Hi,

I have couple of pages in my site may have some erotic content in the eye of adsense. I have adsense code on those pages. Is it that google just will not display the ad on thiose pages treating them as adult or my whole site can be penalised also for that.

I think, they just should not show any adv or should PSA..thats it..Can any friend recommend here?

Thanks

Adsense TOS prohibits:
(v) display any Ad(s) on any error page, registration or "thank you" page (e.g., a page that thanks a user after he/she has registered with the applicable Web site), or in any email, or on any Web page or any Web site that contains ANY PORNOGRAPHIC, hate-related or violent content;
(underscoring mine)

Adult pages are not allowed, so it would be best for you to remove the code in those pages lest you risk losing your entire account. Read the TOS very carefully - and don't push the envelope.

You are running the risk of your whole account being affected.

I would remove the code from those pages too. The problem is that the PSA advertisers (not to mention the paying advertisers) usually don't want to be associated with that kind of content either, so AdSense is quite specific about the no adult content rule.

loanuniverse is right, you could be risking your entire account for a few pages you want to show PSAs anyway, so I would definitely remove the script from those pages, and then not worry about the issue or possibly getting suspended over it.

As I read it, ....."any Web page or any Web site that contains any pornographic".... suggests that if there is questionable material on any page on a site, whether or not that page carries AdSense, you could be in trouble if other pages on the site are running AdSense.

Question: When a page is talking about sex, like taking precautions when having sex, or suggesting places where to have sex, that is not pornographic.. Is it in violation then?

Let's keep in mind that pornographic is not the same as adult, and neither is the same as "questionable material".

Graphic (words or images) depiction of sexual acts is pornography in many people's judgement; enough people to influence Google.

"How to make a martini" and "How to Seduce Men in 5 easy steps" are adult content.

Blow by blow analysis and commentary of the "Faces of Death" series is probably questionable content.

Unfortunately only the viewer can determine the nature of the work, as these are all relative judgements (shades of gray). Since G is making the rules, G is the viewer whose judgement rules.

If you aren't sure, ask G. Get your answer in writing and if they say you're ok, save it for later. If they simply repeat the TOS and don't say you are ok, takeit to mean you are borderline... running a risk.
