promoting adsense website via email

Is is ok to promote a website that have adsense ads with e-mail?
Does this violate TOS.

Promote your own site using any legal way you see fit, just as long as:
a) You do not spam (bad karma)
b) You do not place ad code in emails
c) You do not call attention to ads or ask people to click them.

You can send only email newsletter and just follow Hobbs advice

Make sure your site's squeaky clean too, as a sudden rise in page impressions/clicks might make Google take a look to make sure everything's kosher.

Be sure it passes 'the sniff test'.
