Yes, I joined my accounts as per google's instructions, this morning went to google/adsense just to see that I did not have to enter my user name or password. Pretty scary to see I was logged in automatically. How do you get around this? Do I have to clear my cookies everytime before going to adsense page?

You might try clicking the log out link.

I always log out and I'm sure I logged out yesterday.

I was working on channels yesterday and had to go back several times through the course of the day. Each time I was still logged in. Clicking the log out link did log me out though. When I went back again last night I had to manually enter username/pw to get back in.

do you always logout of all your accounts (that are now only a single account)?

did you have one open in another tab or window somewhere?

It is now one Google account. So for example, if you are logged into your GMail, you will be automatically logged into adSense also ... A little scary but...

If you're legit it shouldn't be scary, now should it? :)

Yes, always logout of all accounts, I also have gmail account. No, I'm never logged in to both at same time (separate tabs, etc)

Legit? I've been legit and playing fair for last year and a half. Scary? Well, I only login from home, wife is not a problem, I never log in to adsense from work - I guess it was more of a freak out than anything.

I use firefox to login. Seems to remember your password better, and I have not had any login/out issues with it.

Has nothing to do with being legit.

It's scary because you don't want people jumping on a shared or public computer, or even your home computer or laptop (especially if stolen), and being able to access your gmail/adsense/adwords accounts...

Nothing like that is happening for me.

martinibuster - well said.

I'll keep an eye on this and if it happens again I'll send a friendly email to adsense support.

I'm not dumb and I always log out.

Ditto here. I used to have to click the login button after clicking "Display report," but now I just click "Display report" and the login occurs automatically.

OK, this is scary.

I have a GMail account for my wife. I've set it up so that Thunderbird pop3's into it to retrieve her email.

She doesn't even know the password.

A few minutes ago she was searching for something on Google and noticed that her search history was showing, so she asked me if I had ever seen anything like it before.

I told her that Google keeps your search history if you are logged in. Then we both realized that there was no way for her to log in, since she doesn't even know the password to her account. The only log in from her computer is when Thunderbird checks her email, which of course is all automated.

What's going on, Google?
