I'm in the process of moving a site. I copied the site over to a staged domain so I could revise much of the content before I switch nameservers. ...denied it in the robots.txt so it wouldn't raise any red flags. Weird things are happening.

When/if I replace the google ads with new code to fit better:

#1: For link units I'm now getting the tiny adsense searchbox instead of links. I was starting to make some decent money on this domain. Have I screwed myself by trying to improve my site? Will the good ads return when I switch nameservers?

#2: Every link unit is floated right. I've tried css to fix the problem, even <p align="left> does not work. I've run into this with some affiliates and it was something they did on their end.

I read about the new crackdown on making link ads look deceiving. Is google floating all my link units to the right?

If the first part of the quote pertains to the pages affected by the second part, then it's because MediaPartners bot can't spider the page.

I've never seen this. I'd first check that it isn't something in your existing markup that's being inherited by the container you've pasted the AdSense code into. You might want to regenerate the AdSense code before doing any tinkering to be sure you have a valid copy.

I looked everywhere for inherited styles and couldn't find any. (I can handle basic to intermediate css but I'm no whiz) In desperation I then removed the adsense code and replaced it with plain text. It looked fine, displayed just as I think it should. Grrrr. Thought I would post this incase others are getting the same thing. Its no big deal but I dislike not having control.
