This is a bit too harsh from google. Now, am I not allowed to keep one link unit below my breadcrumb trail? Actually there is a title of the article between breadcrumb trail and link unit. Any thoughts?

Adsense can't be used in popups, you should report them.

The specific comment is related to images placed next to ads , some publishers were showing small thumnail type images near ads and they were missleading users , so they point has been added
We dont have to show images near ads in any way that it missleads users

Adsense can't be used in popups, you should report them.
He didn't say the adsense was *IN* the popup, but rather the popup hovered near the ad on the page, and to kill the popup by clicking the X you run a high risk of clicking the ad on the actual page by accident.
