Is there a way I can tell adsense where the key words are?

Hello. I run a new movie website (we also provide podcast). I want to add a "movie" related image banner, but I always get something not related to movies. Is there a way I can tell adsense to look into a paragraph where the key words are. I'm a noob and I need to learn more about Adsense. Thanks in advance.

Even with section-targeting (which is what I think you're looking for), you may not get relevant image banners.

Try:

<!-- google_ad_section_start -->

Your Keywords here

<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Give it a few hours/days and see if that helps.

My experience (along with others) have seen section targeting to be very ineffective.

By showing image only ads you limit a set of advertisers and most likely your earnings. Not all advertisers have image ads. This is why you will probably get less targeted ads if showing "image only" ads. Solution - use textual ads if possible.
