Problems With Site Driving Me Crackers!

Please can SOMEBODY have a look at my site and tell me WHAT is going wrong with it?

I am constantly experiencing slow displays, Adsense code not displaying etc. It is driving me barmy!

I have trimmed the index page down to around 20k, yet it is STILL behaving slowly and oddly.

Any advice on solving this problem would be greatly appreciated, as up until today, I have NEVER had such problems with my site.

If it is any help, the first line I get in the bottom left hand corner of my web browser is "Connecting to PageAd2.GoogleSyndication". It is THIS line that seems to be delaying the page loading of my formerly quick-loading True Ghost Stories site. It is very annoying!

I'm on a DSL line and your site loaded in a second, including AdSense. Are you having this problem with all sites that have AdSense or just your site.

Well, I AM surprised that you all said that my site loads quick. That is very reassuring to know!

Maybe I have a virus or something, although I have ran ALL my anti-spyware and virus stuff and they found nothing.

Anyway, do you all think I was right to take off the Amazon and Clickbank product links? I didn't seem to be generating any income from them anyway, despite the 800-100 visitors I get daily to the site.

Being honest, I don't rate affiliate schemes too much (lucky if I make pennies!), coz Adsense has been the best earner for me so far.

No, still not loading quickly. The layout is up but the Adsense code is very slow loading.

I'd work hard on generating income from non-AdSense sources, whether it's Amazon, ClickBank or whatever.

Remember the old "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" advice.

I'm experiencing the same problem. It seems to be a problem with the way Adsense is serving 300 x 250 ad blocks on my site.

Very slow then times out.

That's right, yes. The Adsense horizontal ads take ages to display, then time out.

But, I think I can offer *something* for you.

How *you* see the site is not necessarily how the *world* sees the site. IT could be that your Internet connection is having a problem, or maybe just your own personal connection. This does not mean the rest of the world has this problem.

So don't immediately assume that because *you* can't see it nobody else can (or slowness). Find a way to verify it is not you, so you know in the future.
