You're ahead of the game, my friend. Just by paying for your hosting, you're not the average Joe. You're getting better at it, and you could make enough to start paying down other bills.

The figures mentioned are consistent with my efforts back in 1998. Amazon and a cuppla other programs.
Oh well, you all "might" be a success in 2017 but it's becoming a very crowded field over the last ten years. Still growing exponentially.
I count the the lower figures here on a "per minute" basis and that's a far cry from a year or more ago.
Don't give up, build sites with genuine and valuable content and you'll succeed [eventually].
Remember - sites alone are NOTHING Quality content is King.

have over 100 sites up but still very little revenue
Perhaps some pages with good pieces of advice about seed related issues (ie: good content) would attract more users and prospective buyers (or Adsense real-clickers)?
We all started at these numbers at one time. (well, not all of us, I know I did)

Yes, take a week to do nothing else but read everything you can in here and the Google Search forum.
My first sale on the internet was for $19, I was so excited then and I called all my friends and shared my excitement, so I understand your feeling, the good part of it is that, I was aware of the fact that it was just a begining, now I make tens of thousands dollers on the internet.
Note: My venture on internet was with products not adsense. Still adsense has got similar potential. All the best.

I, too, am on the search for that $1 a day. The thing that holds me back is just 'time' in general. The more time you put in, the better you'll get at it.
This is how I make my living now, so hang in there, publish good original content, respect your visitors, play by the rules and all else will follow :-)
