Can you direct visitors to your Google Search?

Hey Guys:

Quick question....

Is it against TOS to direct visitors to use the Google Search function on a web page?

Is this really the same as directing visitors to click?

Thanks in advance.

This is just an opinion: If you direct users to use your sites' search function to locate products, it shouldn't be a problem.

However, you cannot direct them to click on anything particular in the search results.

For example:

Okay
To locate more widgets on Widgets.COM, go to our Search page.

Not Okay
To locate more widgets on Widgets.COM, go to our Search page and be sure to click the links in the search results to continue.

Again, this is just an opinion. You may wish to ask Google for more guidance.

Thank you....

I am thinking the same.

Guide the visitor to search for more products but don't encourage clicking.

Thank you!

The program policies seem to be adamant about publishers not calling attention to ads.

Before you call attention to search boxes, you'll probably want to email AdSense, get a response and then save the response.

Better to be safe than sorry.
