Adsense account and google account link

Just received and email from Google providing a link so that I can link my adsense account and my main google account. It's something that's been a right pain logging into adsense manually when I'm already in my Gmail etc.

Finding it much more convenient... so thanks G!

BE VERY CAREFUL!

I just did this, and decided to use my Google Account information. But its login details were the same as my Adwords one, so I could not use them. Easy I thought, I'll just change the email address I use for my Google account, then update the AdSense one to match. It all seemed to go fine.

DON'T DO THIS!

Gmail has nothing in it. Nada. My webmaster console is blank. My customised home page, with stuff I use EVERY day spread over 8 different tabs has disappeared. Analytics is blank.

I have lost so much data that I just want to cry now.

I did that many months ago without issue.

Well I never click on links on an email without checking first or unless I'm expecting the mail. So I fired up the URL they gave me manually - as its a google.com site I figured it would be okay ;-)

Seems to work fine for me.
