Message after login

I notice a message after logging in to adsense account. Not a "tip" how to optimize the ads but actual message. Did anybody else notice this before? Anyway, message states I should do 2 ads per page instead of one (all our pages have 1 ad). Should I try what adsense is saying or ignore? We've had 2 ads on our pages before and I understand that the number of ad displays will doulbe but the CPM will also be cut in a half, am I right?

Here is a measure of the value of Google's tips:

My tip was to remove sites from my block list.

The only site in my block list was my own website so my adwords ads don't show.

Does that tell you something?

This was not a tip that was always available there before, this was an actuall message, looked like an inbox with 1 message, I believe the actuall wording is:

You have 1 message, read below.....
1 message - Subject: Otimization tip...

This is the new feature that I don't recall seeing before.

Yep. Google installed a sort of message center just a little while ago (I think like 2 weeks). In the message center, they said that they'd be posting monthly "Optimization Tips".

I saw the message center for the first time today... no messages for me.
