I guess that the Easter break means that some advertisers will reduce spend if they view that target audiences are on vacation.

Anyone else seeing this?

I'm not seeing that effect, because this is the time of year when my readers are actively researching ways to spend their money.

I do, however, see declines in late fall, at a time when e-commerce sites are likely to booming with the approach of the Christmas season.

Seasonal spikes and dips vary from site to site, since they're influenced by topic and the audience's mindset.

I tend to have lower traffic, but higher CTR and EPC, giving a great ECPM, but overall total down :(
Ah, well.
My target markets seem to do annoying things like stepping away from the computer on holidays. What are they thinking? ;)

If it's CPC, wouldn't the system automatically reduce spend when there are fewer people clicking?

Anytime from late January to early March, but most noticeable in February my AdSense income will take a significant hit. This Feb was 20% better than Feb 2006, but it's still probably going to be the worst month of the year by a long shot if last years pattern holds.

Why? I suspect it's the post holiday blues, credit card catch up from Christmas, mid winter vacations, etc. In other words many different reasons from many different people, each person having their own reason.

To some extent, but advertisers go on vacation, too. Mom-and/or-pop advertisers may simply take a few days off from advertising while they visit Grandma, go skiing, or get drunk in Cancun.
