I just noticed that on one of my pages Adsense is advertising their link. it says Google Adsense can help and create a web page make money text just below the link.

I was wondering if anyone has seen that kind of ad and what is that supposed to mean..

Thanks

an interesting question is whether or not you're getting paid for that.

I brought this topic up a bit ago and it pretty much died. Read more:

I just saw it on one of my sites, on a page about affiliate programs.
A tall Skyscraper that reads

Relevant advertisers delivered to your website.
No maintenance required.
Google AdSense
<url>
<Google logo>

I'm very certain that it is not a PSA since I have those re-directed to FastClick.

Install the Adsense preview tool. See the ads coming on this forum :-)

I confirmed with Google, these are definitely paid ads. It would be interesting to know the EPC for these ;)

Here is a sampling of the various banners and skyscrapers they are running:

I can live nicely without displaying some of those those on my site.

"Boost your business" - would be ok. It would be better if they tagged "Advertise Here", or even "Advetize on websites like this one" on the end.

"Make money with your website" - nope, I don't want that on my site.

I wonder if adding Google.com to your list of blocked URLs will get rid of them?

Are people seeing these ads on related topic sites such as hosting or website info sites or are they appearing in unrelated areas?

They seem to be normal targeting - I am seeing them on various AdSense/Adwords info sites, as well as forums discussing either of those topics. It doesn't seem to be a case of them showing up on anything unrelated to the area.
