Changing case in URLs to bypass AdSense filters?

I found an unwanted url in my adsence using the google tool with the example name of ExampleWeb.info.

As usual I cut and pasted the root into the adsence filter only to get an error that it was already existing in the filter as exampleweb.info

The only difference was the cases of E and W had changed.

Yet ExampleWeb.info is in my adverts.

Why are the cases not being detected? I never knew it made a difference, but I have the two examples right in front of me to think I have a mistake.

I read a thread yesterday on the AdWords board where some advertisers were discussing achieving different results with key words when they were entered in lower case vs. upper case.

Evidently the AdSense competitive filter thinks there is no difference.
