There are a lot, if not too many, threads about declining CPM's. This thread is not about that. It is more a question to those with stable or incsreasing CPMs in an attempt to understand their methods.

For those that have a steady or even increasing CPM (over a reasonable period) what tips do you have?

Do you block any CPM ads?

Do you have a lot of site targetted ads?

How do you stop one ad from appearing on every page?which should/could mean a lower CTR due to ad blindness (especially if you have a lot of repeat business)

I have a lot of site targgeted ads good high daily impressions yet still the CPM seems to decline. I find this strange as logic would dictate that the more advertisers site targetting your site, the higher the CPM as they compete to appear on the site.

This is a concern for me as I have lost good quality direct advertisers to Google AdSense and consequently important revenue and eggs in different baskets.

I am surprised there has been no comment on this.

It is after all an important issue considering the lack of control that publishers are given.

Mine have been declining as well. So far as I'm concerned this is good as I've never made so much per impression with CPM.

I am surprised there has been no comment on this.

Maybe no one has increasing cpm's that's why no one is commenting.

As for me, always like a roller coaster, down last week, up this week but when it goes up it never surpasses the previous high.

Yes you are perhaps correct. Although I must admit that I have seen a fair number of respected members at least insinuate that they are experiencing stable if not increasing CPM.

Pity as I do believe it would be interesting to share the views on this topic.

Mine have been stable within a factor of two for a long long time now. Currently they are lower than I would expect (and have been since December) though I'm not unduly worried.
