Google Analyst vs Adsense

analyst says 6000 Pageviews adsense says 4400

Hi,

I am coming back to this forum after a very long time, I am sorry if this has already been discussed here.

Surprisingly my analyst stats say that I have got around 6000 page views in a day while when I check adsense it says 4400 impressions. I have already made sure that adsense is installed on all pages where urchin code is installed. My website is using adsense from around 3 years now and I have been using analyst from the urchin days. This difference has been there from a very long time but I was able to pay any attention because of my job.

While I had the same issue when analyst was urchin I have now realised that urchin used to count bot impressions as well while analyst does not count bot entries I believe.

I have a few things in mind.

Does this mean that those 1600 were on PC's with JS blocked? if so, how can analyst track it? it also uses JavaScript?

or are those 1600 were PSAs.

Adblock Plus is a very popular Firefox extension. Ad blocking software doesn't necessarily block all javascript.

Do you have pages without adsense? Thank you pages, etc?

If you do then Google does not count those so there would be a difference in adsense page impressions versus 'real' ones.

I think Adblock might be a reason fo sure... but I realised that only 10% of my visitors have firefox. while 25% of my immpressions are not counting.

can anyone of you please share your details, what percentage error can you notice in your analyst/adsense reports.

ann, I do not have even a single page where I had urchin code without adsense code.

yesterday it was worst of all

6200 by analyst and just 3400 by adsense....

google whats going on?
