Adsense login behaviour changed

Goes straight to stats without asking for my password

Previously when I looked at stats and closed the window I was logged out automatically. That seems to have changed. Now when I open a new window and go to the login page .... it doesn't show the login page, it goes straight to displaying stats!

Arrghhh! Must remember to log out now, not just close the window.

I had strange things happening when trying to log in to Adsense yesterday (Feb 26).

It threw an error: "You do not currently have an Adsense account. Click this link to setup a new account.", or something to that effect.

This is not a new stuff. I’m using this since last 6+ months. If you login using gmail or other google service and click on Remember me on this computer button it will remember your adsense login. To avoid this problem login to gmail and say logout or just visit google.com and say logout

When I logged in this morning, I saw the url went into a sessionid. Now, the url has tacked on a .../adsense/login3

That's new to me.

Yep. I noticed this as well after I received that weird error.

I also never noticed the "I cannot access my account" link below the Sign-In button. Is that new?

celgins, I believe I've seen that before.

But, there seem to be login problems with Adsense at the mo. And with login to other Google services.

The boys at the plex were trying to change something and they broke Adsense!

What would be funny, is if the guys at the Plex broke Adsense on purpose -- just to get WW folks and millions of others riled up. :)

Of course they wouldn't do that since one million+ incoming phone calls isn't desirable.

AdSense, AdWords, GMail, and most other Google services seem to remember you if you're already "cookied", and log you in automatically. The only service I've noticed that doesn't is Google Analytics. But, one can get in via the "backdoor" by going first to Google AdWords, and then clicking the "Analytics" tab. :) I'd prefer that it automatically log me in at Analytics, though, to save 1 click.

OK, login behaviour has returned to normal. It was obviously something they didn't intend long term (or maybe it was a bug or a test).
