Has everyone received the 1099 form from Google Adsense. I am a US publisher, I haven't received the W2 yet. Is there any way to contact Google regarding this so that I can file my Taxes soon.

Any help regarding this will be appreciated.

you need to email them, thru your adsense control panel, i used the "taxes" subject in the drop down menues. Within a day or so they got back to me about what happened and how to get one sent out.

where on the control panel should I go to email them

lol easier said than done, it took some doing to find it when i did it, maybe 10-15 minutes,i started by clicking the help link at the top right and started digging thru that, and honestly i think i finally just clicked on one of those tips about if payment hasn't came yet, contact us, and i think that got me to the form. this was like the 2nd time in 3 years i have had to contact them, so there is probaly a better way. they used the adsense-support@google.com address, so you could probaly use that directly with the email you signed up to adsense with and include your pub id as well...

What did they say happened

it was account specific, basically a misunderstanding about my tax status and whether or not i needed one sent. It was my fault either way, and following my no taxes on the weekend rule, i won't know how much until tomorrow morning.

off topic and probaly deserving its own thread, While once i got ahold of someone everything went quickly and smoothly and no complaints at all. but having to dig around and search for the right form to submit is a little silly, especially when theres a nice litle contact us link in my adwords panel.

i also wish they would be a little more forthcoming in giving out more information, and im not talking about smart pricing, invalid clicks etc etc, but on the TOS and policy changes. For the latest change on competing contextual ads, to get the "offical" word on the change i had to visit a 3rd party site, no offense to that site or its owner but i don't think its right being forced to go there instead of an email or a nice announcement on my control panel. When they changed the images thumbnail policy, right on the adsense blog were decent examples of yes this is allowed and no this is not allowed. Im still not sure if the different look is page/site/account based and if adding a border around the ads is different enough.

If you are incorporated, your customers (like Google) are not required to send you a 1099. If you are a sole proprietor working as an independent contractor, you should receive one.

You can check your account settings to be sure you have recorded your status properly, supplied the correct address, etc.

Remember that if you are a sole proprietor (an individual), you should supply your Social Security number. If you are incorporated, you should supply your EIN ... or so they tell me.
