I have been seeing italic title links this morning. Maybe this is old news and maybe I missed an announcement... or perhaps something new?

I'm seeing them this morning too, intermittently.

I *really hate* it when G experiments on our live sites. The consistency of the look and feel of my sites are very important to me, and the constant little on and off changes in the text ad units drive me crazy!

We have seen this on and off today on our site. Guess they're checking response rates with some A - B testing

System: The following 2 messages were spliced on to this thread from: http://www.webmasterworld.com/google_adsense/3260337.htm [webmasterworld.com] by jatar_k - 10:54 am on Feb. 22, 2007 (est -5)

I just saw the title text in a large rectangle italicized, instead of the usual bold. This is a new one for me.

Add this together with the new image text appearing in ads, and it looks like Google is trying to experiment with combatting ad blindness.

i also saw this. i think they use us as live guinea pigs once again. really bad of them.

gooogle should only do this to publishers who have checked a box called "i want to be google's guinea pig and test out new forms of ads".

by applying to adsense you agree to Google doing anything they want with your account without any agreement from you. Seems like usually you do not have options to fall out of the "testers" scope :)

I've been seeing the same thing happen for several days, on and off. I've only seen italic, though.

And I saw an image ad that click url points to ad.doubleclick.net?blah blah&http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/iclk?blhablaha...

This is weird usually pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/iclk?blah comes first and then redirect url comes.
