I am planning to add adsense banners to my new photo gallery but i am confused with the TOS and the sites that use adsense banners on thier image galleries.
TOS says that image galleries are not allowed whereas there are many image galleries using adsense banners.

I was going to send the url to google to get their answer but the gallery hasn't finished yet, therefore I wanted to know what do you guys think.

Thanks in advance

I didn't know they weren't allowed on image galleries. I imagine it's because there are usually no other links out from them. Of course, it could also be because they got tired of using their bandwidth to send out the js when noone was clicking the ads. I had adsense on my image galleries and when I got to about 10,000 impressions without a single click I decided perhaps I should try something else.

I use Google Adsense on 4 of my image galleries.
I asked Google and the told me that I can have the adsense code on those pages if there is enough good content on the site too ...
So I added some links with info text about the subject of the gallery...

But this was some months ago ... I don't know if the TOS has changed about this ...?
My advise is to ask them personally with the url of your gallery.

Depends what you mean by image galleries. I have an image based website, but with text describing each image. Adsense rarely has problems serving relevant ads.

I would email the Adsense folks and ask them about your particular case. They should be happy to look at your gallery and tell you whether or not Adsense is allowed.

You gave me a heart-attack there, but there's nothing against the TOS about image galleries. See:

[webmasterworld.com...]

There's also a page on SitePoint that alludes to Google formerly having a policy against it.
