There's no doubt Adsense has been a God send for a lot of us as it is new found revenue never before realized, but now that we all have experience with it, has anyone been able to grow there revenues through either new sites and has it incentized many to build new websites?
My CPC has been dropping steadily, but seems to have reached the rock bottom or appears to be. All the growth on Adsense revenue is contributed by blending in ads into content to boost CTR and by promoting specific 'channels' that yield high CPC.
So, if the CPC keeps dropping, there isn't a hell lot of things I can do to maintain growth.
- 27% decrease in EPC
- 100% increase in CPC
- 47% increase in EPM
- and a huge 1195% increase in revenues
The only word I can use in describing the revenue potential of Adsense is "phenomenal." We've been with a number of banner ad agencies for years, but we never saw this kind of growth in revenues despite the increase in our traffic and pages. My partner, who was initially skeptical in putting Adsense on our pages, now thanks the lucky stars that we stumbled on this opportunity.
Since I can't tell you how much I made, I'll tell you what I was able to do with it. Before the latest pricing structures I was able to pay 4 months worth of bills in October, pay off everything on my credit in November, purchase a new car with cash in December and make a partial payment on my 12k bill to the IRS in January.
Since the latest price structure, I haven't made a quarter of what I was making, so I kept building. When I lost my full time work from home job 4 weeks ago I was able to pay up my bills through October so I don't necessarily have to pull my hair out finding a job.
I don't intend to necessarily live off Adsense, but it does make a great addition to existing income.

For me, it has been up and down, but quite positive. Making far more than anything else I've tried on many pages.
My biggest negative issue is the environment of fear they have created by keeping up to two months of earnings when knocking people off, even if the site did nothing wrong. If not for this fear, I would put far more effort into my AdSense sites and I feel confident I would have steady growth.

I've also managed to achieve a much more significant expansion of revenue by adding additional site content. I don't think you can expect much of a revenue increase if you choose to sit on your hands and wait for it to happen.

Did I mention I'm 19 years old and already operating a profitable part time business? I owe this all to Adsense.

All of them.
My adsense revenue dropped well over 10x what it was making at one point in time, while the websites the ads ran on almost doubled users/page views.
Needless to say, he revenue dropped so much adsense no longer made any sense and I removed it completely from the sites.
I was in Adsense since it was first released until last month.

By the way got my AS check today.
I don't see anyone showing a steady increase.
We are, and have been for the last 7 months.
AdSense offers good potential. AM is more profitable, but for certain sites AdSense just sits nicely on the page and performs well.

Never heard >1 Mil/yr mom and pop AS guy , when there were a lot of guys like that in AM!
I too have had a steady increase in revenue.... I just keep building, building and building... I should be getting fedex cheques soon....
One question - if you're making almost 7 figures off AS, couldn't you make double that doing AM with that many high-profit niche targetted traffic?
it just doesn't make a lot of sense to me?
If you get $5 EPC, or $100 per sale....which way could u make more money?
I guess doing both is the way to go...have some sites focus on AS, some on AM, and some for both.
Markus will do 7 figures with 400,000 impressions a day, while ogletree is going to do 7 figures with around 10,000 impressions a day.That shows how silly it is to ask other people what kind of EPC they get, at least. It also shows different ways of doing things.
Also, if ogletree is doing 10,000 impressions a day, with a 10% CTR, that is 1,000 clicks per day. To break 7 figures ~$2.8 per click would be needed. Probably a bit less since he mentioned he hasn't been in single digit CTR for a while.
