Medical News Websites w/AdSense

Is this a good idea?

Just thought I would post this question. I've been debating creating a Medical News website to inform viewers. I'm sure some of you already have something like this but I was wondering if those that do have these websites, how did it go?

Regrettably yes. There is BIG money to be made from medicine related Adsense advertising.

EPC is pretty high, but getting traffic will be the biggest challenge.

I did it once, and removed Adsense very quickly.
I thought it unethical and dangerous to show publicity that claimed to cure AIDS with homeopathic and alternative obscure treatments... This was back in 2004, so maybe it has got better in the mean time..

cpc and all are high,
but getting traffic is biggest challenge,
most of the times we dont get 100 visitors per day

Moreover, some of us who spend big bucks on the AdWords side for medical-related ads (I have two such clients right now) have already made the decision to opt completely out of the Content Network because the return on high-priced clicks is so poor.

The ads themselves are very poor, even though they pay reasonably well. You will need to avoid many topics as they will contravene the TOS.

Be very very careful, in the UK it is a serious crime to state or allow to be stated that a given product or process is a cure for cancer unless you have prior written regulatory approval to state as much. Start writing about cancer and see what pops up in your search results.

I've also seen cures for AIDS and very dodgy cures for heart disease.
