My web site has been down atleast since 8:00 this morning on the west coast (USA) becuase my ISP's site is down. I checked todays AdSense income at 8:00 this morning and have checked it periodically and my income for today keeps increasing.

I only have one web site.

I don't see how anyone could be clicking on my adds if the site isn't up. Any ideas?

Four things come to mind.

1. Cached pages on the search engines and at other ISPs.

2. It depends what is "down" at your ISP. If it is a DNS problem instead of a server problem, some DNS caches might have the correct data and the TTL hasn't expired.

3. Someone may have copied your pages, including your client ID in the adsense code.

4. Google does not do live updates of the stats. Some clicks and impressions seem to happen almost instantaneously some take hours or even a couple of days. You can see this if you have low traffic channels and also use a click logger.

I'm betting on #4.

Well now I feel really silly. I didn't even think about cache. Since I couldn't get to the site on my computer or several others I tried, I figured no one could.

Thanks for the help.

Your ISP is down or your web host is down?

You're right, my web host is down. Their site is down, my site is down, the site I use them for at my day job is down.
