I don't know if I actually have a right to complain. I've gone from an approx. 25% CTR down to 8%. I know, I know, 8% is considered perfectly acceptable. My actual traffic patterns haven't changed a bit, though. Adsense is completely enigmatic. Sort of like the weather.

Much as I hate to buck the trend (or tempt fate) but I seem to be having an excellent run.

I haven't had any problems accessing AdSense of the past few days. The 8th of January was my best Adsense day ever, 9th was down slightly - it was only my second best day. Today is currently at least as good.

I'm in Northern California and haven't had any trouble. Smooth sailing all the way. In fact, earnings have been up last few days.

Possibly with some publishers off the network there's more money left over for those whose sites are unaffected?

Hi Martinibuster. Yeah. Whenever someone posts that their fortunes have diminished, with Adsense or anything else, there's always someone who's having the opposite experience. That's why I say its enigmatic. Go with the law of averages!

eCPM is down the last two days. Earnings are 25% down. Today brings hope... but at least this year seems to have gotten off to a good start. Fingers crossed.

Yesterday I wasn't able to login and see my stats until about 10PM CST (Minnesota, USA).

Other than that, the day was pretty normal and I was able to see ads on my site all day long and earnings were what I'd in line with what I'd expect right now.

No problem logging in today, ads are running on the site as usual, earnings are fine, etc, etc.

Your clicks went to the CA vortex, so they can pay for their houses that cost 4X what their really worth.

Yes, I think TheTraveler is correct.

Or at least our revenue is going to CA or someplace else.

Today is completely out of line with previous earnings, and nothing has changed on our website. Traffic is the same, website has not changed, yet earnings are less than one half the average amount at this time.

Earnings and ecpm down over around 30% for the past week, and it's getting worse and worse. I used to complain about bad cycles which would happen every few months, and for the past 8 months everything has been fine. Then, <wham> I got hit this month. I look at the ads and it's no wonder. Low paying, and crappy for sure. Oh well, that's the way it goes I suppose. Something was rejiggered, that's for sure.

I look at the ads and it's no wonder. Low paying, and crappy for sure.

i was one of those who whinged around late November through to the end of December about a large drop in earnings. It turns out most of my problems were due to crappy ads also so it would seem. I went on a mfa/flea killing spree and the results have been very positive since.
