Have Google Engineers Upgraded Smart Pricing Since April 2004?

What changes if any have you noticed in the last three years?

I've been reading some old comments in this forum and elsewhere, wondering how much is still relevant and accurate. The public outcry was fierce and lasted a long time, but did Google listen to a single word anyone said? Has its blog or spokespeople made any recent comments on smart pricing?

Can you share what you've learned and when you noticed any changes? Have the Google engineers, for example, figured out how to smart price a single website instead of an entire account? It seemed extremely unsophisticated to hit an entire account, or even an entire site, instead of a single page. In other words, is smart pricing any smarter now in 2007 than it was back in 2004?

Also, is there a page CTR which at a certain percentage is considered "too high" and automatically trips smart pricing? Is anyone here making more from many more clicks at a low CPC (smart pricing) than fewer clicks but not smart priced?

TIA,

p/g

IMO smartpricing is one of the core parts of adsense/adwords, so Google cannot keep it unchanged for few years. I'm sure it gets smarter and smarter with time to protect advertisers from invalid clicks/impressions :)

What are the current views on the site or account attributes that attract smart pricing?

If I think I am being afected by smart pricing, is there anything I should be doing to improve my site in some respect?
