Is there a long-term effectiveness consensus on removing channels?

I remember a few months back when a lot of people removed all their channels in order to see if that confounded smartpricing and raised income levels, as one person reported.

Can anyone report on the effectiveness of the move now? thanks.

I removed channels at the time of Ann's thread and honestly I really didn't see a long term difference.

Maybe just a couple of days before everything settled down again, which I think is normal for any changes you make. Fact is, I just added the channels back again this morning.

On another note, the hubby split a website by "channels by country," and we saw a marked improvement, but nothing real special.
