Does anyone know if the URL filter works with CPM ads?

After reading a thread on here about contacting Adsense and asking them to be removed, I did so, as I have one major site that has targetted mine and since then, my revenue has dropped and it has also spoilt the look of the placement of the ads (instead of showing 4 ads in a 728 banner, I get his large one)

Adsense have said to me that I cannot opt out.

I am sure that this guy has made my revenue drop but I want to test the water and see if the ads return to as I had before, the revenue increases.

Yeah it will work. Tried it myself. But only google can lift the "targeted" status, they will try to talk you out of it though, but they "will" do it.

I was personally glad they talked me out of it. My rep and I tried a week with no targeted ads on my site, and the result was dramatically decreased earnings. When we spoke again I had her shut them on again and earnings went right back up to normal, a clear indication to me, tht targeted ON was better. (your mileage might vary).

True it was only a week, but targeted ads showed a remarkable difference when shut off. They "will" do it for you, they "will" resist...

Don't know, there is mixed reports here on the benefits of doing this, but in my experience so far, the targeted ads boast your bottom line.

But, as far as your question goes, YES putting a targeted ad in the ad filter will work, done it a few times when the target conflicts with my affiliate or my own personal sales.
