Is it ok?

Just wanted to check to see if it is ok to put AdSense code on sites about politics.

I just purchased a nearly 10 year old domain name about a political event of that time. Just wanted to know if there are any issues or problems or is it against the TOS in any way?

Thanks!

I think so, but when in doubt ask Google.

I have them on two very conservative news sites, and they do well on both. The ads seem to be a lot of political books and party sites.

Watch out for those liberal sites, though... May want to ask permission first.

I removed AdSense from my personal blog which is highly political, just thought it hurts the credibility, afaik nothing in the TOS against politics, but you might want to tread carefully when talking about war, war crimes, crimes against humanity, hate speech.. All unavoidable in the jungle of politics.
Ask Google as jchampliaud told you.

Yes, with political blogs you might fall foul of one of the disallowed topics ranging from drugs, pornography, hacking, violence, racism, gambling, tobacco, drugs, alcohol to firearms as well as other stuff etc etc so you'd just have to be very careful in the content...

I've decided not to put it on my political site, even though many others do use it. As Hobbs and level80 have pointed out a lot of the hot button political topics are getting pretty close to the line.

I would make more money if I had AdSense on there, but I would be too nervous about the content to feel free to speak my mind. I'll stick with companies without those restrictions for now.
