AdSense & FindWhat on the same page - revisited

Allowed or not, getting PSA's on these pages

I found a nice page showing an e-mail and response between an AdSense user and Google, regarding SearchFeed & AdSense on the same page:

<snip>

However, the definition of "competing text-based ads" being prohibited by the TOS still has me baffled. The Findwhat ads on the pages I have containing FindWhat and AdSense ad strips on them, are not contextual (I think?). The keywords passed to FindWhat for ad retrieval are statically set and are never changed.

Does anyone have any more detailed information on AdSense & FindWhat ads (or SearchFeed) co-existing on the same page?

It's almost becoming a moot point because I have noticed that almost all of those pages show PSA's now, when they used to show targeted AdSense ads. But I would like to know if this is a TOS violation, or just a subtle indication by Google that TOS compatible or not, they don't like it.

Anecdotal evidence anyone?

Thanks.

From what I read in my Findwhat contract, it's not allowed. Same goes for AdSense.

Although I see your point, the Findwhat listings are static rather than conceptual. Might be worth an email.

JuniorOptimizer,

FindWhat has different contracts. A friend of mine has an exclusive contract like yours. Mine reads that only the first 3 search results (not ads), have to be FindWhat ads.

Conversely, I get a lower percentage than my friend does and perhaps you. They (FindWhat) reviewed several of my pages with AdSense on them and approved them all.

So AdSense is still the mystery.

Thanks.
