Relationship between SERPs and AdSense relevance?

I am just starting to develop my new site and plan to have AdSense on it. I follow this form a lot and have noticed a lot of people complaining about terrible relevancy, especially in April it seemed. With the new script that enables you to see what AdSense ads *will* appear, I have been able to see if my site will deliver relevant ads. So far the ads are dead on.

Has anyone noticed a correlation between getting high on the SERPs for your keyword phrases and the relevancy of your AdSense ads to your keyword phrases?

Maybe I'm on to something?

Thanks!

hdpt00: This question has been asked a number of times in the past and the strong consensus is that there is absolutely no correlation between getting high on the SERPs for your keyword phrases and the relevancy of your AdSense ads.

I can't see why Google would want to make ads less relevant for a site just because it didn't have good SERPs.

I'm not saying they would ever wan to make it less relevant. But if the bot is matching it up I was thinking maybe the SERPs would get it right too...?
