Adlinks under perform skyscraper.

Should I be removing the adlinks?

I have a topic where I display one Adsense wide skyscraper and one ad link unit per page (so the number of ad views for both types of Adsense advertising are the same).

They sky scraper's CTR, eCPM, and earnings are about 5 times what the adlink's stats are.
This topics sky scraper's eCPM is typically at and above my site's overall average eCPM.
This topics ad link's eCPM is significanly below my site's overall average eCPM.

Money is money so I've left both types of Adsense ads in place but has anyone else been in this situation? Is this the "no brainer" type situation where I should be removing the adlink units because they are underperforming and theoretically having a hampering effect on my SmartPricing multiplier for this site?

There is no proof that the adlinks are having an actual negative effect. Don't auto9matically buy into the smart pricing hype.

Do some A/B testing, like Google recommends. Remove the adlinks for a couple of weeks, put it back for a couple of weeks. Repeat at least 2 more times.

How does it effect your total income?
