Me and my buddy are going in together and creating a rather large website. We want to split any profits after the site is done 50/50. Can we simply make his ads show 50% of time and mine show the other 50% of the time? Or is that against the AdSense TOS?

If it is, I guess we will just have to split the cash after the checks arrive.

You can do it although, but It's much better to split the revene in the end.
1- Coz G can take it as One Person Associated with 2 Accounts.
2- Also If any thing happens BAD (Invalid Clicks)on the site while your or friend's code is on the site BOTH can get BAN.
3- If "smart priced" you both can be affected.

Any way Best Luck

According to what I read on another forum, yes, you can do that. You can display AdSense ads on any site that is permitted under the TOS to run AdSense ads. So, you can run ads with your AdSense code half the time and ads with your partner's code the other half of the time.

That comes by way of a third party, who seemed credible, but you should confirm with Google just to be safe.

Whatever route you decide to take, get a contract drawn up confirming who is paid what. Buddies today aren't necessarily buddies tomorrow, especially when money is involved.

Or you can form a parnership and get a third "business account" with Adsense to use only on your joint sites.

On any page that you serve, make sure that there is only one ID used in the ads. Do not do a "I get the skyscraper, you get the banner" split.

Google insists on this so they can reduce the chance of showing duplicates.

They did tell me that search and referrals can have different IDs than the ads. It was unclear if link units have to be the same as the ads, so I leave them the same.

Or he could take the weekend, say Friday lunchtime to Monday lunchtime
and you could take the part of the week when everyone is too busy to surf ;)
