problem with adsense in israel

Hello dear and helpfull webmasterworld surfers

Since 2 days ago 30 November the ads in our site and other big sites in Israel stooped showing relevant ads. It seems that it doesn’t recognize the text any more and treat the pages as new ones.

Clicks are down by 70%
Revenue down by 90%!

Anybody knows something about that?

Maybe a useless suggestion, but do contact Adsense support!

Are you seeing similar problems in the targeting of other .il sites?

Are you sure you are not blocking the adsense bot somehow (robots.txt, spider banner or similar)

Do you see in the logs the bot coming and visiting your pages?

A test:

1) do a useless page (e.g. in php) that contains some text and ads and that nobody knows or visits.

2) in the php, do a detailed log of all the visits recevied by the page (including useragent etc)

3) look at your page when it's live

4) keep watching the logs, and see if / when the Mediapartners bot comes to look at the page.

There is no support for AdSense for content in hebrew sites...

You may use AdSense for search on hebrew sites, and also hebrew referral buttons.

Google said they are working on AdSense for content on hebrew, but it's not ready yet.
