Loyal visitors, end of your adsense accounts?

Say for example you run a web-site and it helps people get over <a condition>, just for an example it supplied relevent information and talk for those types of people.

Your visitors all share the same interest and read your articles for example and continue to discuss their <condition>.

Your visitors loyality and recency is very high. returning visitors for November are at 87% and new visitors are at 13%.

Now for example if 87% of your clicks a day came from the same visitors and only 13% of them clicks possibly are new.

Would Adsense Get Angry? we're talking a volume of over 15,000 uniques per day.

You may think if your repeat visitors clicked ads it would be time to drop a cookie to drop ads if they are repeat visitors, however is it the new members that click ads because they don't know the difference between content and relevent links at your pages?.

Time to hook up some channels and start monitoring, but does repeat loyal visitors bring an end to Adsense Accounts?

Idea: drop a cookie recording logins and if over X then switch channels to loyal channel and see who does the clicking.

Regards,
GP.

Uh?

Either the moderating for specifics corrupted the post, or it was confusing to start with.

Regular visitors are less likely to click than newbies. It's the way of the world and google isn't going to get it's knickers in a twist about it.

I have a agree with david_uk. Loyal or returning visitors I believe don't click. Part of the key to AdSense is to get a constant stream of new visitors.

Do they buy from these advertisers that they click on everyday in loyalty to you? Not Likely

Better put a stop to that fast!

If they're loyal clickers... you're likely to have problems.

Thanks guys, the condition I've been monitoring with channels is that my members are those who are responcible for clicking my ads under 'header_members' channel whilst the 'header_public' are not clicking my ads as often as members, let's say 1/100th of my earnings is non-logged in users, the remainding is my members of which I have many thousands of actively browsing online members per day and this I've monitored to be the clear evidence of who's been clicking the ads... loyal or not they seem to be the ones who spend the majority of the time returning and clicking about.

Although I could label ads as Advertisements in a clear blue box, this should help convert and less 'mistaken' for links, as people who click them will know they are advertisemends and will procede because that's what they want and this should increase overall daily revenue for me as they may or convert better and therefor increase my click value.

GP.

I can actually conceive of return visitors that will click AND buy. But it has to be certain specific types of sites, and I just can't see that for Greedy_player's site, though I could be wrong.

- A site designed for business purchasing departments. These people are professional money spenders that are constantly looking for new suppliers.

- A site where people discuss the latest/greatest gadgets for their hobbies. Those are serious buyers. Think of those guys that have every little extra on their little hondas or their huge tire 4wd trucks that never see any mud.

@ Sonny : loyal visitors by which I mean't they are returning to my site for more dicussion and the content it brings them whilst they are not specificaly loyal to me or even aware of the Adsense ads to that level they are just browsing my pages clicking ads as they were intended to be clicked for, 'content related'.- but i believe the reason for smartpricing is they could be clicking the ads over and over again , and google may become suspecious.

@ bigdave: my channels say otherwise. But thanks for your input on this matter. As it has to be the reason for my smartpricing panelty... i can't explain any other reason for it. I want to make my visitors aware they are advertisements logged in as members, that way my members only click knowing they will be leaving my pages?

On a small note:

My site has many thousands of pages for non-members, they are required to join as a member to access messaging facilities between two members.

This could be the reason why the public members is few, I do get hundreds of sign-ups per day.

But the traffic logs show up to 90% returning visitor , while the rest are new , therefor I can expect the returning visitor has a registered account, and therfore why I'm only getting poor results from new visitors, and therefor explains why channels are low on public, but increasingly high on members logged in.

--Saying all that--
I would prefer it if my members did not click the advertisements without truely converting well for the advertiser, therefor I hope to make this clear in the blue box idea titled 'Advertisement'.

Here is the idea:

(ads removed to protect advertisers)

Skyscaper: [img249.imageshack.us...]
Leaderboard: [img249.imageshack.us...]

This is basicaly what i hope to achieve clear representation of my Advertisements to my loyal and returning members so they therefor don't abuse my ads and mistake my ads for site content but undersand they are advertised content in which they will convert much better for me and I will have my smartpricing penalties removed(they's hope).

Ultimately, there's only but so much one can do. Someone may have a legitimate interest in what's being advertised, but no desire to buy, fill out a form, etc., once they reach the advertiser's site.

Grebo: I agree, but confusion doesn't help anyone so to respect my visitors I've set my ads up to be seen as Advertisement's and that way I would hope they'll visit them with more intent as an advertisement would offer them a new site, rather than accidentaly clicking of them as they browse my pages for new content.

Testing going well so far...
Amazingly my CTR has not fallen, and my ad clicks are going strong... it's asif they wan't to click advertisements and enjoy the content of my 'advertisements' therefor now they might be filling out forms, knowing they are not on my site anymore.
