I have an ancient site that has Adsense running on it that i still make some money with. I was just checking it against the current adsense terms and noticed:

- No Google ad may be placed on any non-content-based pages.

If an ad in the sidebar shows up on the login page, would that be a violation? the login page still has links to content in the left and right sidebars but the central area is just a login form. I'm thinking I need to take the ad off of this page.

- In order to avoid associations with copyright claims, website publishers may not display Google ads on web pages with MP3, Video, News Groups, and Image Results.

the site has alot of photos, 95% of which are my own and a few of which belong to people who are members and voluntarily uploaded them. does this mean i can't run ads on those pages with the photos?

what about pages where the video is produced and owned by me?

thanks!

The key word is "Results" as in search results for those media types. Go ahead and serve it up with stuff where you either own the copyright or have a license to use.

They don't seem too bothered by AdSense being on a few non-content pages such as login, etc. within a site. That seems to come with the territory on a lot of CMS systems.

I've never seen a thread "banned for serving ads on my login page".

If in doubt - ask adsense. But sounds OK to me. As long as the bulk of your site is honest, has good content etc, then I don't think you should have a problem, but always better to be safe rather than sorry!
