Adsense placement above an image

Hi there,
I am a newbie to adsense, nice to meet you all!
I have a problem with the background of my adsense ad, when placed above an image. It looks bad and I don't know how to fix it. On the top right frame I would like to try either a non-transparent ad background (that will not show the orange design underneath), or to use a totally transparent ad background. I cannot manage to do either... Is it possible to do?

The URL will probably be removed as these are not allowed, but what shows up on that page is not supposed to happen. You could put the ad block in a table with a solid-color background, but it shouldn't be necessary. You might want to ask the AdSense team about it.

BTW, I would remove the "search..." text BEFORE contacting Google, as you're not allowed to label ads in this way.

...Also note that the background image shows through in Firefox but not in MSIE 7.

With respect to that "search..." thing, I now see that that is an extremely well-disguised search box. Even staring right at it, there's no hint at that field's function.

That makes it more of a user interface decision rather than an AdSense compliance thing, but I would really suggest making the enterable text field visible and adding a "go" button of some kind. People want you to show & tell tell them how your site works; they don't want to have to puzzle out basic functions.
